Reception youngsters Skills Group

If you youngster (boy or girl) is going into Reception in September and they want to learn to play football then why not bring them along to the Bleak Hill Rovers Skills Development Group.

A new group starts on 13th July at 9am on Bleak Hill School field.

Busy few days ahead

Our annual Presentation Day is being held at De LA Salle school in Mill Brow, Eccleston on Saturday. The first matches start at 10.30 but doors will be open from 10am.

In addition to the Ice Cream van we will have a couple of bouncy castles, a hot dog/paella stall and a sweets/cold drink stall.

Why not come along and watch nearly 300 youngsters enjoy a game of football and receive their annual trophies?

On 11th June we have our AGM at the Gerard in Dentons Green Lane. It starts at 8pm so please come along and let us have your views about the club. We are always trying to improve the experience of the youngsters and your views are very welcomed.

Wildcats update

We passed our Wildcats Audit yesterday with flying colours. We now have over 30 girls on our register and look forward to starting an Under 11 team in September followed by an Under 10 team at end of 2019.

Are you in Year 1 and want to play football?

We are looking for youngsters who are currently in Year 1 and want to join our Year 2 team next season. Come along to Bleak Hill School any Saturday morning at 9am and join in the fun. Alternatively drop us an email on info@bleakhillrovers.com for more information.

Presentation Day!

Our Presentation Day will be on 8th June 2019 at De La Salle.

Usual inter club games, Bouncy Castle, Ice Cream and Paella. After the event it is hoped that many of us will meet at the Gerard in Kiln Lane to finish of our celebratory day.

FA Respect programme

At Bleak Hill Rovers we take the “respect” of players, referees and supporters very seriously. We have Codes of Conduct which cover everyone linked to the club as we want to ensure we support the FA in bringing respect into the game. 

Wildcats update

The number of Girls wanting to come and join our Wildcats group is growing.

We meet every Sunday at 2pm on Bleak Hill School field-weather permitting. If you are interested, then come along and join us.

Unpredictable weather

The Warrington League have brought in a winter break in January and, as we might have guessed, the weather has not been as bad as the last few years. Nevertheless, our St Helens League teams continue to play each week and most of the Warrington League are arranging friendly matches.

As we end the first half of the 2018/19 season we would like to wish everyone who reads this, a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year. Thank you for all your support in 2018 and we look forward to creating a vibrate, community based club in 2019.
