Welcome to the start of 2021/22 season and a special welcome to any of you who are joining us this season.

2020/21 Season.

Following a very disruptive season in 2020/21, I would like to pass on to anyone who has been impacted by COVID , our very best wishes.

We managed to play quite a lot of games towards the end of last season  but our season was disrupted by our continual need to “battle” with Eccleston Parish Council in the guise of the Ecclesfield Committee.  I won’t go into the frustrating detail and hope that we can build new relationship with the parish councils.

Code of Conduct and behaviour

On top of that we were charged by the FA with misconduct in not being able to control some of our parents, I realise this is an absolute minority of parents but it is something we all need to keep in mind.

We could not play without referees and I would ask you all to encourage them even when they make mistakes. Please remember that could be your son or daughter in a few years!

2021/22 Season

As some of you will be aware the start to this season was delayed until the weekend of 18th September due to the difficulties with new FA systems which have caused us an excessive amount of extra work over the summer and I would like to apologise to those of you impacted by the FA issues and assure you that we are doing everything possible (via the Warrington League) to put pressure on the FA to sort things out.

On the good side, we can look forward to a new season with over 430 youngsters playing for Bleak Hill Rovers. We have started 3 new Under 7 teams and welcome a new Under 8 team from Whiston., in addition we have a new Under 8 Girls Team starting in November.

In addition, our new Reception Skills Group started up with 20 youngsters and our Wildcats (girls aged 4-8) continues to flourish.

This season we have a new kit supplier (O’Neills) so please have a look at the shop on our website  as there is some really nice sports wear.

Coaches

We are very lucky at BHR that we have so many coaches who are willing to give up a significant amount of their time to run our teams.  At the moment we have over 40 qualified coaches and most teams have parents who help out with training and matches, something for which we are very grateful.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch using the “contact” link if you want more information about anything or if you would like to help in anyway.
